What types of dentures are available?
- Partial dentures: used to replace one or several teeth within the dental arch.
- Complete dentures: full dentures that replace all the teeth in the arch with an acrylic appliance.
- Implant-retained dentures: the use of a special conservative denture that snaps into place with implants along the dental arch.
- Teeth in a day: same-day restoration of the smile with dental implants and a cosmetic bridge to replace all the teeth.
Which one is right for me?
Choosing a tooth replacement option takes time to ensure patients understand the pros and cons of each choice. During a consultation appointment, the dentist of Positive Image Dental will evaluate a patient’s smile and provide information regarding the solutions available. There is never a “one size fits all” treatment, which is why we proudly offer a range of treatments to choose from.
What are dentures made of?
It varies depending on the type of denture a patient chooses. Partial dentures are made with both acrylic and metal. They are designed to fasten to the dental arch to restore one or several missing teeth. Patients missing all their teeth, however, are better suited to complete or “full” dentures. These dentures include acrylic gum tissue and false teeth. Another option is the implant-retained denture, which holds a conservative denture using dental implants along the dental arch. All of these types of dentures are readily available at our practice.
